Service Description

The Great Depression lasted from 1929 to 1939 and was considered the worst economic downturn in the history of the United States. Through this journalism class, we will be studying the history of the Great Depression while reporting the news ourselves. Each student will learn the ups and downs of this important time in history and will also learn how to write articles like a journalist to create our own newspaper which each student will receive a copy of. They will also have fun experiencing some of the foods, clothing, and social interests of the people during the 1930s. 8 week course
